The differences in each turf will be somewhat unclear to you unless you
have felt and played on each turf.
The main differences are as follows: Our turf
has a dual-tufted polyurethane backing which resists all forms of rot, mildew and
bacteria. Our backing aids in reproducing the true feel of a real grass
green and is far more durable. There is a big difference in the turf itself. Our yarns are
a technologically advanced generation of textured nylon fibers that we guarantee will be
the most authentic synthic surface you will ever play on. These fibers are cut shorter and
are thicker than the competitions'. The competition's fibers are made of different
material and are long and thin.
The final process of an installation of a putting green is
to fill in these fibers with a special silica sand which facilitates the ball roll. The
problem with the competition's turf is that the sand needs to be refilled more frequently
and the fibers tend to become matted after years of use. Lastly, if debris gets trapped
down in the competition's fibers, it is very difficult to get this debris out. Because our
fibers are short and thick, debris can be brushed off easily or blown off with a power
blower.
There is another advantage of choosing A Perfect Putt over the competition aside
from the product. A Perfect Putt's parent company, Renaissance Grounds, Inc. has been
designing and installing fine landscapes for over 13 years. Many of our competitors
strictly install putting greens. If you wish to compliment your green with landscaping,
you need to spend time finding a separate company to do so. A putting green by itself is a
great feature for your property but complimented with surrounding landscape can turn your
property into a personal paradise. A Perfect Putt has examples of fine landscape projects
accentuating the putting greens.Renaissance Grounds, Inc. is a Class "A"
contractor and can handle all of your turf and landscape needs under one roof.
